Hope everyone had a lovely Easter holiday. The Easter Bunny visited Perry last Thursday, with chocolate in tote. Some students enjoyed dying eggs and going on egg hunts in classrooms.
Our Chuck E. Cheese Fundraiser Family Night was a huge, fun success! Our Chuck E. Cheese event came complete with a visit from the beloved mouse at Perry. That night, about a dozen staff, a few board members and 37 Perry families were in attendance to join in on the fun. We raised $112.52 to go towards tuition costs for our families. Thanks to all who came out for a night of fun with and for the children. See you at next year's event!
Perry is holding its annual candy bar fundraiser. Proceeds go towards the tuition scholarship program, which helps us keep tuition affordable for every Perry family! We are selling M&M and Hershey products until February 25th. Support Perry and buy a bar or two!!!
Today Perry celebrated Beach Day!!! With the weather looking so bleak lately, we decided to warm things up and pretend it was summer. Coincidentally, this happened to occur on, appropriately, the coldest day of 2008! We cranked up our thermostats, put on our bathing suits, donned our sunglasses and had a ball!!! The classrooms engaged in various activities, such as fishing in the water table, swimming in a pool of shaving cream, dancing to beach party music, examining shells, playing with sea creature toys, creating ocean and beach art, eating a picnic lunch on our beach towels and many other fun beach activities. We had such a blast!
Perry Nursery welcomes Miss Shelly to the Gold Room! She is the new head teacher there and brings in a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom. Her year so far has been great and is glad to be at Perry.
Perry is very grateful for the community involvement this past holiday season. Our families and staff thank all of those involved in making our holiday season wonderful.
Employees at Chase Bank brought Santa over for an early visit in December, bearing gifts for the children and a yummy lunch for the students and staff. Here is Santa talking to a Blue Room student and the Blue Room children opening their gifts, fabulous art sets for them to express their creativity. Thank you for your generosity Chase Bank!!!
The Parish at St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church, also arranged a beautifully decorated and fun party for us. Church members made and served a delicious dinner, coordinated games with prizes, arranged crafts for the children to make and even asked Santa to visit! There was an incredible amount to do, as well as eat! :) The students and families enjoyed the party very much Thanks St. Francis of Assissi Parish for your gracious thoughtfulness!
